About Easy Eat
Easy Eat is a restaurant technology company headquartered in Singapore that launched first in Malaysia in 2020. It helps restaurants digitise their operations with QR-code table ordering, payments, loyalty and delivery, and raised US$5 million in 2021 to expand across Southeast Asia.
The challenge
Easy Eat needed native mobile apps that could run the whole restaurant journey:
- No native apps for restaurant operations.
- Manual orders and payments that slowed service and invited errors.
- No live delivery tracking for customers waiting on food.
- Disconnected systems for payments and loyalty.
What Appmetry built
Appmetry built native iOS and Android apps from scratch:
- QR-code table ordering alongside table service and food delivery in one platform.
- Live driver tracking with the Google Maps API, and PusherSwift web sockets for real-time order updates.
- Payments and loyalty through the RazorMS payment gateway, with loyalty rewards in the same flow.
- CLEAN architecture with MVVM, so the codebase stays maintainable as features grow.
How we worked
Delivery ran for more than 12 months, building the platform up feature by feature on a shared architecture across iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin).
The outcome
Easy Eat got a complete native platform for iOS and Android that handles table ordering, delivery, payments and loyalty. Their product team said the apps handle the full restaurant journey in one place.
