About Cipherboard

Cipherboard is a keyboard app for iOS and Android that adds end-to-end encrypted messaging and digital-asset transfers inside any app people already use. Its public listing describes partnerships with Coinbase and Stellar and support for assets including BTC, ETH and XLM.

The challenge

Cipherboard's founders wanted security and payments to live in the keyboard itself, which meant solving problems no off-the-shelf component handled:

• No secure keyboard existed for their use case on iOS or Android.
• No encrypted messaging inside third-party apps.
• No way to send crypto to a contact from the keyboard.
• No offline storage for encrypted data.
